Obamanos!

Posted by: Vivien

So Florida went blue . But we still have those congressmen (and woman ) and you know who I am talking about. Perhaps if Joe Garcia and Raul Martinez would have been more on board with Obama they would have prevailed . Obama did better in their districts than the challengers which means the voters were impressed with Obama and the challengers chose not to take a ride on his coattails . Wrong choice . Now we pay and so does Cuba . Good news is the old guard will have 0 traction with the new administration . Vivien

Not too change the subject too much, but I wonder how the discovery of all that oil around Cuba is going to affect the political scene in South Florida. I suspect that it will somehow bring money to the democrats and signal the beginning of a new two party era in Cuban American politics. All the best.

First off I saw the film and loved it! Been trying for almopst a year to be able to view it. Only thing I would really like to see at the end of the film is something showing people how they can get involved. I want to let friends borrow the movie. Not sure if there is something that you have started but the movie is very motivational and will definitly have people asking questions.

Second….I really do hope this administration does do something. Only true and lasting change will come through dialogue. It’s a shame with the embargos and especially what Bush has done with the embargo recently. Wishing you and your father the best in your continued ventures!

Got something to say?
